It is a great pleasure that i wlcome you yo Seoul for ARCH. This congress is returning to Soul since 2010 it is an great honor for both myself and entire faculty of the Korean Headche Society to be hosting this event again. The Korean Headache Society, founded in 1988, has devleoped rapidly in such a short perid.
The KHS has more than 1,500 members now.
As the capital of Korea, Seoul has risen asonishingly fast from the ashes of the Korean wart o become one of East Asia’s Largest and most dynamic cities, with a growing reputation as a creative powerhouse.
7th ARCH 2018 will cover siverse range of headache disorders and include world-renowned speakers,. This conference will also provide an opportunity for social networking and relaxation in the after-hours. Cultural reputation and great sightseeing places in Seoul are wll known the world over. Please do attend i n large nubers and let there be arecord attendance.

We welcome to the 2018 7th Asian Regional Conference for Headache (ARCH) under the auspices of the International Headache Society (IHS) which joined with 2018 Asian Oceanian Congress of Neurology. Our conference is aimed at developing clinical practice, research and education on headache disorders and promoting cooperation among members.
The Asian Regional Consortium for Headache (ARCH) is a professional society of healthcare providers contributing to the study and treatment of headache in Asia and Oceania. The ARCH was started as a subcommittee under the International Headache Society. Since its foundation, the ARCH has dedicated its efforts to educate health professionals and promote better communication in Asia and Oceania region. Once our name was the Asian Regional Committee of Headache, which was attractive and has been well represented us. Nevertheless, we have changed the name of our society to make our society into a better organized group since 2017. There are now 14 members of national societies in Asia and Oceania including Australia, China, India, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. We are expecting that more new member societies will join us in near future.
Dr ByungKun Kim and other Asian headache specialists have established as one of the world top leaders in the headache field. 7th ARCH will give you an opportunity to expand your understanding and knowledge of headache disorders.

Introduction,
I am much honored to be asked to give a welcome address to all participants of the Asian Regional Conference for Headache (ARCH) in Seoul. It is with great pleasure that I return to this positive and friendly location. The present meeting provides a highly innovative and educational program. As the current president of the International Headache Society (IHS); this conference represents much of our ambition to advance headache basic and clinical science, teachings and education of diagnosis and management, as well as promotion of headache awareness worldwide. Asia represents a large portion of the world’s population and according to the Lifting the Burdon project harbors up to 500 million of headache sufferers. During this year IHS has presented its 3rd version of the classification ICHD-3, document on how to perform clinical trials in chronic migraine and the Vancouver declaration for patient awareness, all published in our main journal Cephalalgia.
These efforts lend support to our vision of collaboration between colleagues all around the Globe and our aims continue, all with the vision to help our patients and to provide our pears with the best ways and therapies. The ARCH provides opportunities to exchange knowledge on all aspects of headache science and the latest in the new treatments that are now appearing for both acute and prophylaxis of migraine.
I can only congratulate our friends and colleagues in the organizing committee on their achievements and look forward to a productive meeting.
